Having a class Macbook will be essential for allowing students to be more creative in the development of their end of unit Health projects. Advocacy is one of the eight New York Sate Health Education Learning Objectives and provides students with opportunities for creating meaning and understanding of health topics through the creation of PSAs. At the end of each Health unit, students are asked to become Advocates for Change, handing over to them the platform and power to educate and spread essential Health Messages throughout their school and communities. My students will use this computer to develop advocacy projects and to release their creative expressions through digital visual arts. Using computer-based technology, students are not only able to reach a wider target audience, but it also encourages them to explore the world of virtual media through a safe and educational academic processes.
