Classroom libraries have been around for some time. However, if those libraries only have books for readers of a certain reading level, it is now a place just to store books. Having a classroom library that has books of different reading levels applies to all of the students in the classroom. Students are more likely to read books where they are able to access the text, than books where they struggle to read the words. My students' reading levels range from Kindergarten to third grade. I do not have enough books to reach all of their ranges of reading levels. My students work extremely hard to become better readers but I lack some of the materials like these books to help them.
