Storyworks magazines from Scholastic will be used in the classroom during our small group instruction. In one magazine there is something for everyone: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and so much more. Using this tool in the classroom will keep students engaged and wanting to read more and more! What makes Storyworks a wonderful teaching tool? The magazines are full of color using photographs and beautiful illustrations. Each issue relates to the season which makes connecting to the text a breeze. I'm requesting donations for multiple subscriptions in order to differentiate for my students. Additionally, the magazines have a digital version which is very helpful to use whether you are at home or in school. Each text comes with a lesson and teaching tools for the teacher to focus her instruction. The literature provided in the magazines hit on a variety of genres, which the students love! The non-fiction articles are informative and fun and Storyworks picks topics that keep the students wanting more information and always leads us down an inquisitive path of wanting to learn and read morel
