Next year I will begin teaching AP Calculus BC for the first time. I will have a group of students that I taught AP Calculus AB to this year that I will be continuing with in the fall. Many years they have been given summer homework to keep their minds focused for the next year. This year has been extra challenging with Covid-19 protocols to follow and the students had to work extra hard on weekends and evenings to keep up with all of the material. So I decided that this summer they needed inspiration, not more work. Many of them are avid readers and this book, "Infinite Powers, How CALCULUS Reveals the Secrets of the Universe" will inspire and prepare them for what lies ahead in their next school year. "Infinite Powers" has been highly recommended by many AP Calculus teachers. I plan to read it along with the students this summer and reference and incorporate its content throughout the school year. I am very excited to be able to offer a different approach to inspire a love of MATH!
