Over the years, I've learned as a teacher, that transitions are a vital piece for a smooth school day. Kids can take a lot of time transitioning from one class to another and between stations. Something that takes time is grabbing their needed supplies and getting ready to work in their next assignment. I want to provide my kids with the correct tool so they can have all the things they need at hand and don't have to waste time standing up or walking around the classroom. The perfect tool I found was the chair cover with pockets in which they can organize their materials and also have their name in a name tag, leaving more space to work in the table. I've seen how well this works in others classrooms and I think it will be a perfect fit for my students.
