My students want to learn about what is involved in live streaming events at our school. With the increased popularity of live streaming and a decrease in the cost of equipment, my students would benefit from being able to work with equipment similar to what is used by professional video journalists. Not only would this benefit students, but this project would also benefit the school and community as people who are unable to attend an event can watch it on YouTube. We began to live stream some events prior to the Covid-19 outbreak and with some restrictions being rolled back, we have started back up again. By upgrading our equipment and adding an additional camera, we could give our broadcasts a more professional feel and provide students with the experience of producing a broadcast that includes multiple perspectives.
