Having flexible seating will empower my students to make their own choices. Traditional classrooms have taught students to stay in one seat, facing forward, without question. In this day and age, students needs and learning styles have changed. I want my students to feel like they have a choice in how they learn. The curriculum stays the same, but my students' ability to use flexible seating could help them to better comprehend the material while being empowered in their decisions. They can feel responsible and enjoy their time at school. I have seen how offering student choice helps them succeed academically and socially, so I want to give my students materials to be successful in both aspects.
