I am requesting headphones with mics to help my students communicate their thoughts and share their learning with their parents and other students. We use a web-based program called "Seesaw" on our iPads to help us record our work and thinking. As a teacher, I can assign projects, links, assignments, etc. for students to work on with an assortment of digital tools (i.e. - camera, text, mark-up tools, and microphone.) As students work, they can record their voices and explain their thinking which they will then export to me and their parents at the end of their assignment. As we have done this in the past, we have had problems with the voice recordings because other students' voices and background noise gets picked up by the iPad microphone. I believe that headphones with a microphone will mostly eliminate this and help make the recordings clearer for parents and myself to understand.
