Students need to see themselves represented in books. With the diverse population of students in my classroom, I would like to add more books where the main characters represent my students - Asian, African-American, Muslim, and more. The books chosen in this list are ones that are at 2nd-grade levels so students can read them independently. Adding multi-cultural books to my classroom library will help students feel represented in the classroom. I hope it will empower them to see themselves as the main character, superheros, and more. Please consider donating to help improve my classroom library.
