Touch and movement are essential for learning in a classroom for students with unique needs and abilities. Textures, sensory input, and whole body movement assists students in acquiring balance and coordination skills necessary to support pre-academic learning and healthy development across all domains. The materials requested will enable me to meet the sensory needs of my students. Providing an engaging classroom environment will allow my students opportunities they would not otherwise have access to. Movement increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It keeps young minds alert and focused.
