These books will make all of the difference in my classroom! Reading is something that every young child needs to be able to do as often as possible. With a large number of English Language Learners in my classroom, I strive to put as many words as possible in front of my students. For this classroom, the opportunity to have a class library will increase literacy rates in students who demonstrate the highest need. Access to books in our classroom will further grow my students' interests and abilities when it comes to reading and writing.
I strive to provide my diverse group of students with diverse materials that will further grow their minds, add perspective to their experiences, and further explore their unique interests. This collection of books does just that. Growing our library will make all of the difference for our academic year and the academic years to come by providing students with as many opportunities as possible to read. My students treat books with love and care because they understand that this is a chance for them to be leaders and take care of materials so that they can be shared with future students/classes.
