These ukeles will be used for classroom music instruction for grades pre-k through Fifth grade general music class. Ukulele instruction teaches musical concepts such as melody, coordinatination, note reading, concentration, and ensemble playing. Having these instruments would also open up opportunities for performing groups (Ukulele club) that could perform in the school and community. Students will receive year long instruction ,once a week, starting in August or whenever we receive the instruments. Due to the CoVID 19 pandemic, using wind instruments, such as recorders, have become a safety hazard. Ukuleles can be played socially distanced, and be sanitized between uses much easier that many other classroom instruments that I already have.
