Giving students permission to move and fidget during instruction time and work time is the best way for five and six year olds to pay attention and to feel successful as a learner. They have a very short attention span and these skills needs to be nurtured and developed. Giving students fidget tools gives them the opportunity to be successful while learning to navigate their new world of school. The products that I have selected will help my students to build confidence in themselves while learning to increase their attention span. Giving students this opportunity for learning will set the foundation for future grades.
