Last year I was told by a student that my room felt like a prison. After he made that comment I took a closer look at my room: it is just a room with white walls. My goal is to create a room that is inviting to support social and emotional learning. I want my students to walk in and see a welcome sign above the board arranged with garlands for added warmth, letting them know they will always have a safe space here. The pocket holder and the usb port will be used to create a phone charging station, which will help my students focus on the task at hand. The pencil boxes will be used to organize supplies that will be provided for each individual student. To help the students with time management, I would like to have a working clock in the classroom. Every thing on this list will help our student reach for success! Thank you for your help!
