It is estimated that 1 out of 5 individuals has some level/degree of dyslexia, ranging from very mild/minor difficulty reading and writing with accuracy and fluency...to individuals who find it extremely challenging to navigate the “code” of reading and writing. In schools, often these students with mild to moderate difficulties “fly below the radar” because they can so creatively compensate for these deficits. However, with engaging, multi-sensory, prescriptive, word study instruction, these individuals can learn to effectively “crack the code”...gaining the skills necessary to decode and encode words accurately and efficiently, leading to increased academic confidence and self-esteem!
