Students will use these resources to practice and reinforce skills taught in the classroom. These resources will allow for a fun and interactive way to make learning connections. Students will play board games to reinforce counting, letter recognition, and other skills. Students will also be able to develop important social skills, such as turn-taking and appropriate conversational skills during gameplay. The use of whiteboard paddles will help bring the gameplay to carpet time and allow them to answer questions and show their work in a fun and interactive way. Friday Fun Day, with the help of parent volunteers, will give students the feeling of excitement and anticipation to continue learning while playing and interacting with their peers. It is my goal to provide hands-on developmentally appropriate practice to form learning connections while making learning fun. The culture of learning established in the early years will help foster the love of learning and establish lifelong learners.
