My 5th graders love the ability to choose where they work in my classroom. This allows them a sense of choice in the classroom and I’ve seen so many positive results with this. During independent work time they get to move to a spot that works best for learning. This increases motivation, engagement and it helps make learning fun! My kids make good decisions for themselves as learners and allows them to have a change of environment. As a first year teacher I would appreciate any help and support in getting more flexible seating options for my kids!
