These "Learning Science Activity Tubs" will be used to help my students to learn and interact with science in a fun and engaging way. Science is designed to be taught in an exploratory format where students use discussions and hands-on learning to understand how and why things in the world work. It is research-proven that students learn better when actively engaged with the information as opposed to sitting through a lecture about the concept. This science kit includes topics on electricity, simple machines, matter, cells and organisms, properties of Earth, force and motion, the human body, and the solar system. Each tub is filled with experiment activities and materials to complete them. Additionally included are vocabulary cards, worksheets, charts, and extension activity ideas. As a first-year teacher, this resource will help to provide manipulatives for students to explore science topics in my classroom. These activity tubs connect to national science standards and will be used to create meaningful lessons that these students will remember forever.
