Through the use of Technology 3D printing students will learn how to bring projects from their 2D screen to live. They will learn and explore the many uses of 3D printing in the real world. Project based learning will intensify the way that students will interact with real world practice and experience. 3D printing technology paired with student's desire to connect with their future is a great way to motivate problem solving. The 3d printer will help students learn about materials that are being designed and made that will help with their everyday use and interaction both at school and in their personal daily life. I feel that this experience will be something that my students will take on and not only be exposed to, but have it in their repertoire as they continue to master it, as this is the path some will choose to follow. By creating products that can help in the school community or in their home community, students will be able to bring to live projects that will benefit many people. They will also understand the purpose behind how technology such as this is involved in producing items that help facilitate tasks daily living from prosthetic body parts to items used daily. They will also be exposed to how to plan for projects and justify them.
