I am a proud first grade teacher in Augusta, Ga. This is my second years as an educator. The purpose of this project is to encourage students to read in a fun, but creative way. I have creatively build a reading club for my first grade students known as Breakfast with a side of books club. This allows students to enjoy a healthy breakfast, and read our book of choice for the week. We have a small group of students, and have open discussion about our weekly reading. The resources you are providing will help students within my first grade classroom.
