By giving students the opportunity to select clean, in-style clothing, we are also giving them confidence and independence. Middle school students especially are very sensitive to their "look." They want to be able to express their individuality and personal style and when they are able to do this, they feel empowered and are more likely to have a positive self-image. Because so many of our students do not have the resources to purchase new clothes, we are able to meet this critical need by putting a clothes closet in our school.

About my class
