Many of my students are struggling readers due to a language barrier or gaps in skills due to their home situations. Academic content must always be accessible to my students in order to learn and fill in those gapped skills. Imagine being a newcomer to a country or having gaps in your learning and enrolled in school where you do not know the spoken language or struggle but are expected to speak it, read it, and write it. Headphones will provide a safe opportunity for all of my students to access the content.
