“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” That is my goal using the "Who Was" series in class. I have seen students devour these books and begging for more. It is very hard to get students to buy into non-fiction books. The beauty of these books is that it can suck students in from the very beginning. Learning about our history will keep us from repeating it. I use these books to create enrichment and extension projects for students to complete in the classroom setting and as an at home project. Students get a chance to show their creativity through a variety of activities using these books. We want students to love reading and to learn at the same time, and that is exactly what these books do!
