I would like to use the chapter book, The Wild Robot by Caldecott Honor winner Peter Brown, as a literature study group project. This is a beautiful story about a robot surviving in the wilderness thanks to his animal friends. The themes of acceptance and compassion while learning to work together make a wonderful plot my students would enjoy. As a spinoff project we would like to create our own robots. I hope to have this project funded before the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Also, these books will be used year after year so many future classes will benefit as well. I sincerely thank you in advance for helping me bring this project to life!
