Funding this project would allow my students to use the historical fiction books to read and allow for discussions on the historical topics found in the stories. This will allow me to then create project-based learning activities for students to research historical events and places. Once we have decided which historical events to learn about we can visit websites and take virtual tours. This will increase student engagement and pique their interest in various non-fiction topics. Not only will my current student be able to use these books but future students as well.
