These materials will enable students to create solar ovens to actually cook smores! Cooperative teams will utilize pizza boxes, foil, black paper, and plastic wrap to determine which materials will make the hottest oven. Students will measure heat using thermometers provided by Donors Choose. Students will participate in engaging lessons about solar energy and its properties, as well as using the Scientific Method. Using STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, opens new worlds for young people. Using STEM today helps create leaders in technology tomorrow! Please help my fun-loving, curious students explore the world of solar energy!
