As a special education educator, I strive to reach the different needs of my students. Flexible seating allows students to comfortably be engaged in learning. Flexible seating gives children the power to choose. A flexible seating classroom has different seating options such as therapy balls, disc o’ sits, pillows, standing desks, and many more options. Giving my students the power of choice gives them ownership over their participation and engagement in the classroom. Flexible seating has become a trend in education. Some educators are beginning to note that students are often more engaged in their learning when flexible seating options are offered within the classroom. My kiddos and I would truly appreciate the generosity of helping classroom 501 transition into an inviting and flexible seating classroom!
