These TVs and desk mounting kits will make a difference for our students who are learning to read by providing large, rich displays to help present visuals. Especially for our English learners, a proper visual can really help them understand a new word and/or concept. Currently, we are building slide shows to go with each of our units that supplement the curriculum that will be presented on the TVs during our small group learning time. Instead of a story involving the Grand Canyon where the picture in the book may be of the river flowing in it, our slideshows will have multiple pictures of the Grand Canyon to help students visualize what the Grand Canyon actually looks like and is. Building vocabulary and background knowledge is scientifically backed to help students learn to read, and these TVs will allow small group teachers to attach their Chromebooks and present what classroom teachers do with their screens and projectors.
