I am requesting a carpet, a teaching cart and a teaching tactile set. These items will help students at circle time. The rug will be so helpful in giving everyone a space to sit in and I will be able to see everyone's face! The cart will help me keep circle time activities hidden until we use them. Right now they can see the toys and will go through the stuff. The tactile set will help students with sensory needs stay at circle time and hopefully participate with their peers. My hope is that these items help students access a special part of preschool, circle time. Circle time is one of my favorite parts of the days. We talk about what's going on in the day and they will often tell me what is going on in their life. We practice so many life skills at this time! Attending, taking turns, listening to friends and responding appropriately and many more.
