These books selected will enhance the print-rich classroom that I working to create for my students. I am a first-year teacher and am in need of more books. Our classroom library allows for my students to practice reading strategies and enjoy the art of reading. I select books intentionally to place in the library, giving students opportunities to learn more about their world around them. These books were selected with my students in mind. Adding these to our classroom library will allow students to independently select literature they can enjoy and learn from in our reading nook. These books will teach students about letters, numbers, colors, rhyming words, alliteration, repetition, and patterns while reading to or with a fun cuddly reading buddy (stuff animal). These new books will be a valuable addition to our library. Students will have access to literature that is developmentally appropriate and interests them. My hope is to grow readers in our library. They will increase their reading ability by reading the additional books which I would be blessed to add to our library. This project will afford the opportunity to will set my students up for success in life with the help of the literature around them!
