My students respond positively to rewards. What does it take to make a scholar? I have observed that, whenever I give them positive reinforcements and rewards, I see miracles happen in my class! My students stay on task, engage actively in the learning process, and display positive behaviors in the the classroom. My scholars come from a predominantly underprivileged, minority, low-income community. Although most of my scholars have to deal with difficult challenges at home, they do the best they can to come to school every day.
