Hands-on learning inspires students. It engages students who are tactile or kinesthetic learning and need hands-on activities to learn best. With these resources, I plan to conduct multiple lab experiments throughout the semester to help my students master content and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts they are learning. Biology concepts to be covered through these lab activities include: Evolution, taxonomy and classification, ecosystem stability, cellular respiration, and genetics. All lab activities are based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) to successfully master the biology STAAR exam.
