Hominid evolution is a fascinating topic that keeps all of my students excited to learn more, year after year. While the concept itself engaging, there are few lessons that are more exciting than seeing how your own skull has evolved through time. With the cast cranium set, students will be able to work collaboratively to measure the cranium size to determine growth of the human brain, tooth size and shape to see how our diet has changed, and facial structure. Students will collaborate throughout this inquiry based lab where they will hone in on their scientific analysis and communication skills.

About my class
