Kindergarten is all about hands-on learning. Hands-on learning is fun and engaging for students while helping them learn basic but foundational, skills! Research has shown that using multi-sensory learning activities fosters higher student engagement and creates more permanent learning One of the main focuses in kindergarten is learning all letter names and their sounds. This is the essential foundational skill for writing and reading. These items will help my students build these critical foundational skills. The materials in this project will be used in learning centers, guided reading groups, writing workshops, and math centers. Providing students with choices and fun, engaging hands-on activities helps create enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Thank you for your consideration of this project! I am a first-year kindergarten teacher, and your help is greatly appreciated!
