The frictionless motion carts I am requesting would be used to replace outdated ones. These carts get used often by both my physical science and physics classes. The older carts make it challenging to place masses and sensors on them when studying kinematic concepts. The new carts are better for students to investigate motion because of changes that make them user friendly. There are slots for adding the masses and a wheel stop to keep the cart from rolling off the track. The knowledge they gain from these experiments gets applied to larger projects such as: the building and evaluation of a hovercraft, the building and performance evaluation of a rocket, and the engineering of an egg drop project to apply force and motion knowledge.
