Literary circles and reading for pleasure are keys to successful literary analysis, building stamina for and interest in reading, and enabling students to look beyond the surface to see the magic hidden within the words and imagery found in literature. These are contemporary books from a variety of genres and BIPOC authors. They represent different experiences, backgrounds, and authors. Students will be able to understand the experiences of the characters through the lens of their own experiences. Help me help my students see the world through the journey that lies within books.
