Many students have a hard time connecting math to real life. Scholastic MATH has interesting articles and activities that are age appropriate and high interest. This year, I have provided lessons in person and virtual format, trying to engage both sets of learners. Students are mostly in person, but have the option to be virtual and must be virtual during quarantine. These magazines are in print and digital format, which will help to keep students engaged throughout the year! Given the diverse interests in this age group, having multiple options to engage students is optimal.
