As a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing it is often hard to find professional development that directly relates to my field. I am requesting a sixteen hour training on Foundations for Literacy (Center on Literacy and Deafness) and the curriculum to go with it. This training will help me to give my student a solid foundation in literacy. I was not sure where to begin with my student as far as literacy is concerned. This program is evidence based and comes with everything I need. I do not have to reinvent the wheel, which saves time and will allow me to modify other curriculum as needed.
