Allowing students the opportunity to manipulate shapes and equations in the palm of their hands would help students to conceptualize the formulas and math they learn and retain information better than working from a textbook. Finally, for our digital students, the drawing tablet will allow me to quickly put math symbols and shapes on their virtual whiteboards. I will also be able to scan worksheets, anchor charts, and handwritten work that helped students for years without spending valuable learning time with formatting and other time-wasting activities when my students are working so hard to close the achievement gap.
