All of my students need the opportunity to have new and exciting learning experiences that they may not be able to experience at home. Science and math are two of the most important subjects in today's schools. Providing my students with the most and best opportunities to learn about math and science, is one of my top priorities as a preschool teacher. Early childhood education is based on hands-on learning and the Preschool Light Table would be an excellent tool for my students to use to help them meet math and science learning goals. Students would use the Preschool Light Table to explore math and science concepts in a new and exciting way. I would use this light table in my math and science centers. Students will use it to learn about living things inside and out by using the light table to study different animal and plant specimens and x-rays. They will explore the properties of colors by using the light table and color paddles to make different color combinations. My students will use the Preschool Light Table and manipulatives to learn about one and 3 dimensional shapes. They will be able to learn about numbers and counting by using the hands-on tokens and numbers. All students including students with special needs, can easily use and explore concepts with this Preschool Light Table. Preschool students will be more excited and eager to learn using this light table because it is different from any other tools or manipulatives in our classroom and school. This light table will add to the creative and unique learning environment in my preschool classroom.
