We teach each circle time on the carpet. We have a literacy circle, math circle, gross motor and science/social studies. We are constantly sitting, dancing for gross motor time, and even sleeping on it during nap time. We also use a dry erase divider to teach from. I write our lesson on it and hang our calendar and or posters being used to teach with. The divider keeps the space divided from the centers so they stay focused. It creates a separate space for quiet teaching time. This area is used a lot throughout the day.
