Being from Iowa and from a small town, the majority of our student population is from an acreage or rural community with a population of under 3,000. Our school district is made up one main town with several smaller communities with the foundation of agriculture as our base. We are a public Jr/Sr high school. My students are very motivated to learn but require the supplies to do those interactive activities. We are focused on agriculturally based curriculum which range from Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources to Plant and Animal Sciences and Agriculture Power Technology to Natural Resources and Ecology. All of our curriculum is tied to national science, mathematics, language arts and agriculture standards. We take the information learned in core courses and apply the information in a hands-on easy to understand format.
