This convection oven will help my Foods and Nutrition students to be able to do cooking labs while our kitchens are being remodeled, as well as giving us more opportunities to try new cooking techniques such as rotisserie and air frying. Though living independently is not in a lot of my students' futures, teaching cooking skills gives them a sense of independence and a way to still contribute to their household. Cooking also helps students to learn and practice basic life skills such as reading, math, measuring, science, following directions, and problem solving.
