At this time, I have one pair of vision impairment goggles that have been used by this school since who knows when. They are busted and are getting held together with tape. I also am unsure of what the equivalent BAC level would be for this specific set of goggles I assume it is slightly impaired, but I would love to be able to give my students a more accurate interpretation. When using these goggles in past lessons students have enjoyed the lesson, but have always wondered what would happen in the lesson if they had goggles that caused more vision impairment. I believe by having various levels of impairments for the goggles, it will help my students make the association that drinking and driving is dangerous based on the learning activities that I set up in my classroom. Additionally, now that recreational marijuana has been approved in NYS adding a pair of Cannabis impairment goggles would be a great addition to the collection and a valuable resource in teaching teens the dangers of driving under the influence.
