My students often get overwhelmed with big emotions. They need a quiet place in the classroom where they can sit and reflect. They often use books as a way to escape. We love the Ninja books like Angry Ninja. Have a tree house will let them feel like they can escape and then come back to their work calm. A calm mind leads to a better learning environment. My students will learn to better control their emotions which will help them be successful as they transition out of the classroom.
