Students with developmental delays and students on the autism spectrum often have difficulty regulating their bodies ' sensory needs. Due to this fact, students need multiple opportunities for movement throughout their day to provide their bodies with the sensory input it needs; otherwise, their bodies will be unregulated thus affecting academic performance. During movement opportunities, I like to give my students various options to move their bodies to ensure their sensory-seeking needs are met. That is why I am requesting the fulfillment of this donorschoose.org project with multiple ways to move. Students will use the items from this project in isolated movement breaks and an obstacle course. With your support, students will regulate the needs of their bodies which will have a direct correlation to increase academic success. Thank you for investing in my students!!
