While students are completing an independent workstation assignment in groups, they can spread out around the room on the floor while they are learning. They can also have choice as they work, allowing them choice on where the best place is for them to work according to their learning style. Some students like to read laying on the floor, while others prefer to sit on a on a soft cushion-they must be comfortable in order to fully absorb the learning process. I want children to be comfortable while they learn and this will lead to engagement while learning.
