Many of our students don't have access to reading materials and projects that are on their level. With these materials, students will have access to up to date information and current events/news. Lessons and activities will be designed around these texts. The materials will be used to make learning more interesting, engaging, and will keep current topics accessible for students. Student interest and achievement levels are often driven by texts and projects at had. I emphasize to my students that they must take ownership of their success and having high-interest materials and projects will aide them in this.
