Our final project of the year is a scale drawing. They will print off a coloring page from the internet. Then they will draw a grid on top of their picture. Then we will copy each box, one at a time onto a poster size paper. We do this project for a couple reasons. The first is to determine the scale. Scale is a number that you can multiply by to get a smaller or bigger picture. We will calculate the scale or how much bigger the poster picture is. This activity is also cross curricular and let's students do art in math class!
