My future kindergartners will be ready to learn and play all day with these items by promoting developmentally appropriate practices throughout the day. I am so excited to move from fourth grade to kindergarten, but this also means I am starting from scratch on supplies. Many students in kindergarten do not yet have the executive functioning skills to sit still at a desk all day so the use of wobble seats and other flexible seating allows students other outlets to let their wiggles out and still be able to learn throughout the day. Dry erase marker boards and anchor chart paper are items used daily in the classroom as students are exposed to new content. These items are great for practicing new skills and for me to quickly assess if students are able to apply what they have learned.
